- Some fresh ginger
- Drying wrack
- Food dehydrator or oven
- Grinder/crusher
- Airtight container
- Clean dry bowl
- Fine sieve

- Wash and clean your ginger to remove the soil/sand and other external impurities
- Using a shredder or knife, chop the ginger into thin small pieces or shreds
- Spread the thinly chopped or shredded ginger across a drying wrack
- Depending on the weather, you may dry the ginger out in the sun for at least one week. Please don’t leave it out overnight.
- If unfavorable weather, then uses a food dehydrator or your oven to dry yours. Dry till crisp, not burnt.
- Now ginger is dry, use a grinder/blender/crusher to pulverize it into fine powder.
- You may strain using the fine strain and dry clean bowl for extra smoothness but it’s really not a big deal.
- You have your finely made ginger powder
- Pour into a clean dry mason, air-tight jar, or tea bag for herbal tea.
