Some self love quotes to live by.
Self-love is the process of showing kindness, exercising patience, and being caring to yourself. These are the best self-love quotes for your journey of loving yourself.
I found these quotes, more like poems in a book I recently came across. It is titled “you are special” and compiled by The Daughters Of Saint Paul in 1996.
These are the best self love quotes to live by that inspired me and this post and I hope you enjoy this. I’ll be attaching some downloadables in the nearest future.
You are special
“You are like a beautiful flower
That beautifies the garden
You are like a sparkling diamond
So precious is your worth
You are like a golden sunbeam
chasing the clouds away
You are like the early dawn
that spreads hope around.
You bring some precious moments to treasure, day by day”
Daughters of Saint Paul
“You are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you”
The Bible
Accept yourself;
“A second-grader in Tennessee made a good start towards a sense of self-esteem when he submitted an essay “My face” to his teacher.
“My face has two brown eyes”, the seven-year-old began, “It has a nose and two cheeks. And two ears and a mouth. I like my face. I’m glad that my face is just like it is. It’s not bad, it’s not good, but it is just right.”
Liking ourselves is essential to a healthy love of self which is the basis of loving others.
But growth depends on an acceptance of what you have and where you’re starting from”
Christopher Notes
there’s no other you
“You can get lost in the crowd,
Yet I can spot you,
because you are important to me.
You can get lost in the surge of humanity,
but God never loses sight of you,
because he loves you eternally.
Whatever you are,
there is no other you.
There is only one YOU
and you are loved tremendously.
” I have redeemed you and called you by name.
You are mine”
Daughters of Saint Paul
Only you can
“A hit tune of the last decade was entitled, “I’ve got to be ME”. In fact, there’s nobody else we can be. But identity is an elusive quality, an internal, achieved awareness of who are and where we’re going
Writer Joan Ulanov stresses, “Each human being is an unfinished product, in transit, until he/she is dead and utterly unique. We are always involved, like it or not, in the suspenseful and difficult process of becoming something neither we nor anyone else ever was before.”
Seeking and holding onto one’s identity is a lifetime job. It exacts unflinching honesty with self and courageous response to reality”

Be You
Don’t seek to live somebody else’s life;
it’s just not you…
You have no right to put on a false face,
to pretend you’re what you’re not
unless you want to rob others.
Say to yourself;
I am going to bring something new
into this person’s life,
because he/she has never met anyone like me
nor will ever meet anyone like me, for in the mind of God
I am unique and irreplaceable“
Michel Quoist
Nobody Like You
The French poet Jean Cocteau found out early in life why diversity is better than uniformity.
As a young man, Cocteau was designing a stage set which required a tree as a background. He spent night after night in the basement cutting out individual leaves for his creation.
Then a wealthy friend, whose father owned a factory approached him with another idea: “Give me the design of the leaf” he said and in three days you will have a thousand of them here”.
After his friend’s return, they pasted the multitude of identical leaves onto the branches.
The result, Cocteau recalled, was the most boring package of flat uninteresting forms one can see”
At least he understood, why God has made each leaf of a tree and each person in the world different from any other.

He who governed the world,
before I was born,
shall take care of it likewise
when I am dead.
My part is to improve the present
John Wesley
You are needed where you are,
as in the heavens,
each and every star
fills the appointed space,
so you fill that place
where God has need.
Oh, do not doubt-
your hand held out to help a friend,
your love to warm an empty heart,
your smile to light the dark.
Walk serenely in grace.
You are in your needed place
Elizabeth S. Lamb
Add you’re distinctive note
Violinists enrich a symphony by the individual touch they bring into their playing.
According to an acoustical scientist, if all the violinists in an orchestra hit the same note at exactly the same time, the effect would be like the amplification of a single instrument.
“Of course,” he said, “the violinist must play very closely together to produce good music. But they play just far enough apart -in pitch and timing- to achieve a richness, an aliveness, which they would not have if they were playing precisely alike”.
Your part in Life may be a humble one. Buy whether one plays the instrument or polishes them, sells tickets or sweeps up after the performance, each has a role to play and each is needed if the program as a whole is to succeed
The world will be richer for the element of love and beauty you bring to it.

“Whatever you are is God’s gift to you; what you become is your gift to God”
Louis Nizer
“Do not wish you were like something else. God made you as you are in order to tune you as he planned”
J. C. Macaulay
Be the best
If you can’t be a pine
on the top of the hill,
be a scrub in the valley- but be
the best little scrub
by the side of the hill;
be a Bush if you can’t be a tree.
If you can’t be a bush,
be a bit of the grass,
some highway happier make;
if you can’t be a muskie,
then just be a bass-
but the liveliest bass in the like!
We can’t all be captains
We’ve got to be crew
There’s something for all of us here
s big work to do and there’s lesser to do
and the task we must do is the near
If you can’t be a highway
then just be a trail;
If you can’t be the sun be a star;
it isn’t by size that you win or fail-
be the best whatever you are!
Douglas Malloch
“you will find as you look back upon your life, that the moments that stand out are the moment when you have done things for others”
Henry Drummond
How much you can do
How much you can do
depends on how much
you think you can do.
When you really believe
you can do more,
your mind thinks creatively
and shows you the way
D. J. Schwastz
your mind
Look at your hand.
It is unique.
Around the whole world, you could seek
and never find a duplicate.
Your life, your future, and your fate
are yours alone and only you can do
what you are sent to do
because there is no one else on earth
who has what was given you at birth.
God’s mark upon your hand you bear.
No other can this mark share
or be what you were meant to be.
It is your responsibility and privilege.

“Happiness depends on what you give not what you get”
M Gandhi
Do all you can
Do all the good you can,
By all means, you can,
In all the ways you can.
At all times you can.
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”
John Wesley
