  • Obviously, a “stove”.
  • A small or medium pot without the lid, and filled ¾ with water.
  • Vanilla for scent

You may add to or substitute vanilla  with any of the following;

The list is long and flexible. Moderate your combinations because too much of everything is never good.

To prepare;

  • Heat your chosen ingredients without closing the pot.
  • Leave on low heat for as long as you’d like. You may continuously add water to avoid burning your house.
  • I believe this recipe is fit for smaller units of the house or single units of the house. It might not circulate through the whole house.
  • Remember to leave your windows and inside doors open for proper circulation.

For this, DIY homemade air freshener, you would need;

  • Hot water
  • Water

How to make;

  • Fetch ¾ of hot water into a mop bucket
  • Pour in 2 caps of fabric softener
  • Using your mop stick, or handheld/ vacuum, clean the floor of your house.

This method is best used to finish floor cleaning.

It leaves a very pleasant smell in your house. You can use this to clean your bathroom and kitchen as well.

Soaking up Essential oil into cotton balls and placing them around the house. This method is to combat bad smells around smaller details of the house. This is simple and can be done without a hassle.

You need the following;

  • A small empty jar with a tight lid.

  • Clean an old jar with methylated spirit or Rubbing alcohol
  • Insert as many cotton balls as you can fit into the jar without stuffing it too much.
  • Drop about 60 drops of Essential oils around the balls
  • Cover the lid tight and keep for overnight
  • Place the individual cotton balls in different and discreet positions in the house. Especially in places that are most likely to have bad smells.
  • You can leave some in the jar and place it in your kitchen or bathroom. Store it away from the reach of children, and label it, please.

  • Add about 50 drops of desired essential oil or (25 drops each of 2 mixes of Essential oil)

  • Label the bottle for safety’s sake and store it in a safe place.
  • Use as desired, spray around the house on clean-up day while letting air in through the windows. Paradise.
